WriteCloud Terms and Conditions of Service




Any work or written material of any kind produced by or undertaken by Susanne Wakefield or WriteCloud on your behalf or for you, is, once accepted by you, (the client), solely your responsibility.

The Client will be the legal owner and will hold intellectual copyright of all work undertaken. Susanne Wakefield and WriteCloud will not be held responsible for any incorrect or misleading information, details, claims or views contained within nor will they be accountable for material that is no longer relevant or out of date.

WriteCloud reserves the right to use the material for future reference and promotion. By accepting the work on completion of the project and making payment in full you are agreeing to the terms outlined above.


Final proofreading and checking of all work supplied is the responsibility of the client. The Client understands WriteCloud / Susanne Wakefield’s estimated time and cost for completing the Work is an informal calculation and that any adjustments to the amount of work, schedule and/or the number of hours and fees is subject to review and renegotiation with the Client when necessary.

Any errors must be reported within three (3) days of receipt of completed work. Errors generated by WriteCloud / Susanne Wakefield will be rectified free of charge, but amendments or alterations requested by the client thereafter will be charged at the standard hourly rate.


Should ongoing project work be suspended or delayed through any default of the client, WriteCloud / Susanne Wakefield shall be entitled to immediate payment for work already carried out and expenses incurred. If the project is based on an hourly rate, then a minimum invoice amount is for one hour and the hourly rate is billed in increments of 15 minutes, with time rounded up or down to the nearest quarter of an hour.

Clients will be invoiced either after an individual assignment is completed or on an ongoing weekly or monthly basis. Payment frequency to be agreed between both parties when the task is assigned. First time clients will initially be invoiced after one week then all subsequent invoices will be at the frequency agreed.

Invoices are to be settled within seven (7) days upon the delivery unless otherwise agreed. The final invoice may include billable time, reimbursable expenses, and any other fees related to the Work.

Billable time could include meetings outside of contracted hours or the writing and/or reading of correspondence sent by mail or email. Payment to be made by bank transfer.  Once an invoice becomes overdue, no further work will be undertaken.


Reasonable steps are taken to securely handle project work, client information and personal data. Any transmission of data is entirely at your own risk and its security cannot be guaranteed. Work will be kept on file as long as needed for the purposes and may be deleted after 12 months unless otherwise agreed. Any handling of personal information of the client’s data subjects is entirely the responsibility of the client.

In no event will I, Susanne Wakefield or WriteCloud be personally liable for non-performance or losses resulting from the work or services. I am an independent contractor and at no time will this form the basis of employment.

Terms and conditions of service are under the exclusive jurisdiction of UK law.
