When is the right time?
Are you trying to do all the things, all the time?
If you’ve decided that you’ve reached that point and could really do with a little help, but you’re not sure how and when, then a freelance virtual assistant could be just the thing.
We provide support like a virtual extra pair of hands. This support doesn’t have to be all the time or set hours, it can be as and when, because maybe you don’t want the ongoing costs or maybe your workflow and projects come and go.
What can a virtual assistant do?
The role of a VA has grown so much over the last decade to much more than the standard secretarial and PA type tasks. It now includes creative work, social media, marketing, events, project coordination, blog writing and more…
It’s much more a way of working than a type of work, but typically it would still be in an ‘assisting’ capacity.
How exactly does it work?
This depends on you, your business and what you need. And also, which VA you work with. You might want to block book a set number of hours each week or month or work on an ad-hoc basis.
Extra hours may be needed at the start to get the working process up and running. A virtual assistant can offer real flexibility; they can do as much or as little as you need.
What about allocating the work and keeping track?
Work is usually allocated by email or shared project management tools and files. Other communication is done via Zoom, Slack, instant messaging or even the good old telephone.
Everyone is kept up to date with the project’s progress via an on-line shared view. Timesheets can also be provided to show where the time is spent.
How much time will it take to get up to speed?
There’s no way to avoid a small time-investment in the beginning. This is normal while the project gets up to speed. But after this small settling-in period, tasks can be assigned easily leaving you to focus on other things in your business knowing that it’s getting done. Don’t take my word for it, read what my clients have to say about working with me.
Having a reliable assistant on-hand frees up time to concentrate on core business activities and drive your business forward.
It creates space and saves you time. Space to work on your business and goals. You benefit from sharing the load, having someone to rely on, a different perspective and different expertise. Time to do what you do best – run your business. We all have a ‘to-do’ list, so why not delegate some routine tasks to free up your time.
