Working with…
Helen Hill AKA Unlikely Genius
Up next on the ‘Working with…’ series, we’re zooming in to take a closer look at some of the work I do for Helen Hill.
Helen goes under the moniker of Unlikely Genius, which is the name of her learning and content design business – that’s the words and the pictures for online learning (or eLearning).
I initially got to know Helen when we connected through the Write52 project. We were both doing our Write 52 years at roughly the same time, and you get to find out quite a bit about what people do when you’re writing and reading in the same publication each week.
“I enlisted Susanne after seeing recommendations from others in my network, and I am thrilled with her work. She is always prompt, helpful and adaptable (especially with my last minute, haphazard approach to things at the moment).
I know the work is in safe hands and that it will get done now, whereas I kept putting these tasks to the bottom of the list when left to my own devices. Susanne is a great tool in helping to ease my overloaded brain and stress.”
How I help
I help Helen with her own content planning and publishing.
This includes assisting with social media content calendar creation and scheduling. On her website, I help by publishing content and doing routine page updates. She also sends out a monthly newsletter.
It’s some of the many tasks that can fall down the list when you work for yourself – as client work always takes priority. Handing over these routine updates, content calendar creation, and scheduling, gives her back the time to concentrate on client work and working on her own business.
