The short answer to this is yes. A VA can help with your social media. Many VAs chose to specialise in this area, and it’s an in-demand service for many small businesses or independent creatives who are busy juggling many balls in the air and wearing many hats.
Can I help with your social media?
The answer to this is also yes. BUT, I need to be clear to what extent I can help.
I’m not…
I’m not a social media manager, but I can help with all your platforms.
I’m not a social media strategist, either, although I can help you come up with content ideas and schedule planning.
I’m not a social media auditor. I can’t run through your profiles and presence and write an appraisal.
I’m not a paid advertising specialist. I’ll leave the dark art of Facebook and Instagram ads and influencing to the social media mavens.
I’m not a social media marketer. I won’t create your buyer personas for you or get buried in metrics and KPIs.
But I can help you with your social media in a way that aligns with your goals, keeps you present in your community and helps to attract your ideal clients. If numbers are important to you, we can keep an eye on those too.
How?
This depends on you, where you’re at with your online presence and what you want to achieve from your social media.
You can’t be everything to everyone, so hopefully you’ll have an idea about which platforms are better for you (wherever your ideal customers are hanging out online).
Here are some examples of how I help some of my clients with their social media
Scenario 1: Client A wants a regular presence on their one chosen platform.
This typically includes posting links to their products and services and sharing regular newsletter content, as well as sharing links to wider content on their blog, retweeting external content or responding to comments and tags as and when.
Scenario 2: Client B leads their soclal media content from their website editorial calendar
A monthly social media schedule is written and then signed off by the client. This is then scheduled in advance on Hootsuite and, in addition, new blog content is published weekly and shared to all business profiles and published on third-party platforms.
What else?
- Regular posting to a schedule or reactively as needed
- Content creation of new digital assets such as images on Canva
- Writing biogs, excerpts, posts or longer blogs
- Scheduling your content, so you only need to think about it once a month
- Sharing all that great content from your website about your products or services
- Profile set up on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
Do I have any qualifications in social media?
Actually, yes, I have a BTEC Level 2 Award in Social Networking for Business (Ofqaul)
I like to work with creatives, communities and consultants, businesses that have a purpose and organisations that want to make a difference.
I do everything for them that a regular assistant does, from my own home office. We can still have meetings – I just can’t make the coffee! Contact me to find out more.
